I’m really hoping the Disney movie Wish gets dolls, mainly for the main character Asha. I’m also hoping she gets to be a full official Disney Princess. But if we do get dolls I’m wondering how they’ll do her hair considering companies have had a lot of trouble with cornrows and braids. There’s a couple ways I think they may do it…
1. They could do something similar to Bumblebee (above) and have part of her hair molded on (The rest could be rooted braids). I’m not the biggest fan of sculpted hair but this seems most likely.
2. They could do fully rooted braids and just pull back half like Barbie has in the picture. Not totally accurate, but evokes the image.
3. She just has fully rooted braids. This feels the least thought out but I could see it.
In my perfect world she’d half fully rooted hair in braids that’s completely accurate, but that doesn’t seem possible to me-
I’m curious what people think a Asha doll could look like, will Mattel make her? Or maybe Jakks like Encanto! Disney Store will hopefully have one too! Thoughts?
I kinda hope is not sculpted hair tbh
Yeah I’ve never been a fan of sculpted hair but with these potentially budget dolls from (most likely) Mattel it’s probably the case…
Maybe in the collectors doll of her she will get a not sculpted hair
Can give update on this now. The Mattel has sculpted, shopdisney doesn’t. Shopdisney has them held in place with little t ties or plastic tabs but they missed a few on mine
