American Girl Kaya Doll I

The original 2002 Kaya dolls came with the beige cover edition of her book. Three years later, though the dolls weren’t changed at all, the historical dolls’ books were changed to covers featuring a colored stripe across the front with the book title on it. Kaya’s color was the same blue as the spine of her first book. This was how they remained until the Beforever rebranding in 2014.

Product Description:
Kaya opens up a whole world of play with authentic styles from the Nez Perce in 1764, before America became a country:

A deerskin dress trimmed with fringe

A strand of porqupine quills and pretend clamshell beads, a belt, and moccasins

Dark brown braids with hair ties made of real shell

Kaya’s 18-inch doll body is soft cloth; her head and limbs are smooth vinyl. She’s posable for hundreds of playtimes and can be treasured for years to come. Her Meet Kaya book enhances playtime with the first story of this daring girl growing up in 1764—and offers lessons about choices and friendship that still touch girls today.
