Whilst not named as part of the Songbird series the box and advertisement feature Songbird Barbie and Great Date Ken together, indicating they were intended to be paired together in the same line. A variant of this doll was re-released in 1996 with a different outfit, and box art that features Ken paired with Blossom Beauty Barbie instead.
