Courtney belongs to a mixed family. Her mother remarried her stepfather when she was young, and her parents share custody of her. Courtney has to become more responsible as her mother is running for office, a change she at first struggles with. She looks up to many prominant, trailblazing women, including Christa McAulliffe, who’s death she watches in class and was traumatized by. Courtney can be shy and struggles to speak up for herself. She is an avid gamer and loves nerdy things like Star Wars and Pac-Man. Courtney is imaginative and fun loving.
