Felicity Merriman, 1774
Felicity is a young girl from colonial Virginia. She is also known by her nickname “Lissie”. She was the fourth Historical Character, introduced by American Girl in 1991.
She represents the American Revolution, and the years preceding it.
Felicity, often called “Lissie” by her family, is a high-spirited tomboy who would rather ride horses and sit on the rooftop than be a gentlewoman. She attends finishing classes with Miss Manderly, which is where she met her best friend ELizabeth. Felicity’s father is a patriot, and she herself is also very sympathetic to the revolutionary cause, despite her best friend’s family and her grandfather being loyalists.
Her best friend, Elizabeth Cole, was also produced as a doll.
Felicity and her collection were initially archived in 2011. In 2017, she was rereleased under the Beforever brand, becfore being archived again shortly afterwards in 2019.
