Kirsten Larson, 1854

Kirsten is a young Swedish girl who moves to Minnesota with her family. She was one of the original three Historicsal Character, introduced by American Girl in 1986.

She represents the era of pinoneers and European immigrants to America searching for a better life.

Kirsten and her family immirgated to America from Sweeden to join her uncle’s family in Minesota. She struggled to fit in in America at first, especially learning English, but over time she starts to feel like a true American. Kirsten is impulsive, curious, and a hard worker. She loves exploring and the outdoors. She can be stubborn and strong willed, but has a good heart and is always kind to others.

She and her collection were retired in 2010, however the doll was rereleased as a special edition in 2021 and then again in 2024.
