Playmates Toys

Playmates Toys is a Hong Kong based company established in 1966.

After a history of manufacturing dolls for other companies, Playmates would move into creating their own product lines in the seventies. One of the company’s earliest successes was the Cricket doll from 1986, and they have continued to produce dolls ever since, alongside other toys such as action figures, games and pre-school toys. Playmates frequently produces licensed products for properties such as Ben 10, Miraculous Ladybug, and most notably multiple generations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, including the original set from 1989.
