Sekiguchi
Sekiguchi is a Japanese company based in Tokyo, established in 1918.
Initially created as a wholesaler for kimono fabric, the company would enter the toy market in the 1950s. The company is most famous for their Monchhichi line of stuffed animals (also known as Chic-a-Boo), first released in 1974, as well as acquiring the rights to make Momoko dolls from 2005 to the present day. They have also created licensed products for properties such as Sanrio, Tom & Jerry and Pokémon.
The Hong Kong based Sekiguchi Theme Shop was opened in 2005, followed by two further branches in 2007.
List of Doll Lines Made by Sekiguchi
Would love to see the Rune and Coco doll lines included under the Sekiguchi banner as well. They launched around the same time as Sekiguchi Momoko in the early 2000s, and share the same body sculpt she has.
