Julie Albright, 1974

Julie is a young girl from San Francisco during the 1970s. She was the ninth Historical Character, introduced by American Girl in 2007.

Julie is the child of divorced parents, and has some trouble adjusting to newer changes in her life. She is a skilled basketball player, and had to petition her school to let her play on the boys’ team. She also loves crafting, and makes things for her family often. Julie likes to get involved in her community and in causes she believes in, like when she campaigned to save the bald eagle. Julie is spritied, creative, and strong.

Her best friend, Ivy Ling, was also produced as a doll, released the same year as she was.

Julie and her collection were revamped in 2014 for the Beforever rebrand.
